The first film was "The Red Helmet," and directed by Tyler Young. It was a multi-sport montage that storied around a little boy that found a red helmet. All adventure athletes in the film are wearing a red helmet which gives the boy the courage to play in the river. Featuring some exciting footage, this film received a CTXGuide rating of 3.75 for it's creative use of story telling.

"If You're Not Falling," was a rock climbing documentary following Sonnie Trotter up a difficult and challenging cliff in Scotland. This film was directed by Dave Brown and was a finalist for the 2008 award for Best Short Mountain Film, Best Film on Climbing; even so, this film received a CTXGuide rating of 3.5 because it lacked a gripping story.

Joaquin Baldwin directed and produced this strange animated film, "Papiroflexia." The story followed a man that created origami art from anything that he touched. Even though this film was supposed to spawn environmental sympathy, it's simple approach missed the mark. It received a CTXGuide rating of 2.75.

"Journey to the Center," was a white-knuckled sweaty-palmed fear-enducing documentary about three professional base jumpers and their journey into China. They had managed to fnd the largest natural vertical cave in the worls at a half-mile deep and skydive from a rickety old cable suspended across the top. Even though I dislike base jumping, this film - directed by Jens Hoffmann - earned a CTXGuide rating of 4 for it's adrenaline-enducing footage.

Peter Mortimer documents american climbers teaming up with climbers from the Czech Republic on their turf. "The Sharp End, Eastern Europe," detailed the unique and incredibly dangerous style of climbing adopted by the locals. This film is a must-see for any rock climber and received a CTXGuide rating of 3.75.

Trip Jennings creates another kayaking film documenting the shrinking rain forests of Papua New Guinea in "The Last Frontier." It does only a fair job in telling the rain forest's story, but the kayaking and footage of the raging river are what makes this film with a CTXGuide rating of 3.25.
