Charles "Butch" Farabee Jr., awarded the Harry Yount Lifetime Achievement Award for exemplifying the best of the National Park Ranger tradition, was the author of the book. Packed with fascinating photographs, he does an excellent job covering the historical perspective on the National Park Ranger legacy which also includes the political turmoil of the day and the establishment of the parks themselves. He also included sections on how to become a park ranger today and the expected lifestyle challenges.
This was a pleasant read that I would recommend to anybody over 12 years old.
