Friends - this is easy . . . please help get this around . . .

A coalition of concerned citizens has created a petition entitled "Preserve CT's Last 1000-Acre Coastal Forest" a forest developers have proposed to develop and call the "Preserve". We have done this because we care deeply about this very important issue. The forest is located in Old Saybrook, Essex and Westbrook.

We are trying to collect 1000 signatures (primarily from those who live in Old Saybrook, Essex and Westbrook) asap, and could really use your help.

To read more about what we are trying to do and to sign petition, click here:
http://www.change.org/petitions/view/preserve_cts_last_1000_acre_coastal_forest_6?share_id=HyrMWHffvj&pe=pce

It'll just take a minute!

Once you're done, please forward to your friends and ask them to sign the petition as well. Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread the word!

We are primarily trying to focus on OS, Essex and Westbrook residents signatures (because the issue is before Old Saybrook and development plans have adverse impacts on Essex and Westbrook). However, seeing this is as now Senator Blumenthal stated a forest with significance for all of Connecticut, and he has offered his "commitment and resources to bring together all sides" and to "enlist the state’s resources" in efforts to keep the Preserve undeveloped for the benefit of all of Connecticut - we welcome all to sign.
