Kayaking: A form of water transportation that is altogether completely and utterly impractical. Participants climb into a slick hollowed log (that is typically barely large enough for a single person and not at all capable to haul any cargo) that has a surface so incredibly polished that the craft hydroplanes and blows away in a soft breeze. Avid enthusiasts then find the most dangerous and absurd aquatic conditions and hurl themselves into it with the utmost zeal totally expecting to have a good time; meanwhile, the unstable craft pitches and rolls the participant (in what could be considered torture by the UNCAT’s definition) to just before the point of drowning. This is done over and over again until the kayaker finally makes way for shore in a state of sopping wet exhaustion.
