     There are well over 40 campgrounds within Connecticut. There are a variety of camping options from resort settings to remote wilderness camping sites. The campgrounds range in price from free (wilderness) to well over $40 per night.

     According to public opinion, the best state operated campgrounds are at Hammonasset State Park and at Macedonia Brook State Park.
     There are also many private campgrounds that range from adult party camping areas to fantastic family camping.
